Congratulations to Eli Brill! He just joined this week the Unicycle.tv team!

For those who don’t know him: He is an american rider who rides REALLY well and also learns really fast! I was expecting he to join the team for a long time and I’m quite happy that it happened!

Another rider who joined the team this semester was Mark Fabian, But I think I don’t have much to say about him :p! He is just way too good!

Congrats to both And I hope to see the UTV Team growing again

Hi!!!!

First: Sorry! I’ve been really busy with school, work and training since I got back from Germany!

I will resume what happened out there:

The trip was awesome! A lot of riding, many new good riders too, nice place as always, snow and lots of fun!

Unfortunately I had a small accident one day before the street comp, and had some stitches in my feet, so I didn’t compete in the street comp . The flatland was lots of fun! Really high level, and as I said, some good riders in the new generation

The coolest thing for me was being able to film the official EUC Video side by side with Jim (Sinco). I’ve been studying videography for sometime, and Jim is a master in this subject! The final vid should be out in some days!

I can’t forget to thanks Kris and specially Olaf who hosted me and organized such a great event one more time! The days I had there are unforgettable!

This week I’ll put the pics on Flickr! I’m quite busy with two other projects: A new video and a trip here in Brazil!

Hey!

I arrived here in Germany yesterday but took the day to rest! Todays it was my first official day around here!

It’s really cold here in Cologne! About -6C! Way colder than it was past year (its not common to be that cold here). Even freezing, we went to the “Hall” and organized some pallets and other trials stuff!

Tomorrow we will pick Joe Hodges in the airport and go build some trials stuff again!

I’m running! Just received the airplane tickets to Germany now! And I’m leaving MONDAY! It will be crazy, but worth each minute of work !

I plan to post later about the championship in the site and blog, but I must clear all basic stuff here (documents, wash clothes, pack…)! At least the hardest part is done!

In february 7th we are going to host a uni meeting here in São Paulo!

The main idea was to host it at the Vila Lobos park, but due to the STRONG rain that we had last days and the lack of a covered area, we decided to host it at the Ibirapuera Park!

The meeting will start at 8am. The meeting spot will be in “the spider”, a big sculpture in the front of the Modern Arts Museum (MAM)! It’s really easy to find! It’s under a huge covered area, you can ask anyone over there for it!

To make everything easier, if you want to join us, send an email with Name, Age and Mobile contact to encontros@unicycle.com.br! If under 18 please also send your parents contact too! That will make everything better!

If you plan to come after 10am, ask in the email for my mobile number, cause we plan to do some trials/street rides around the park! Fell free also to ask my phone on the email if you have any other questions and suggestions! You can also comment on this post!

UNICON is over! The last project of 2009 and first of 2010 was the awesome trip I had  to New Zealand for the World Championship! It worth each minute of work I had last year, so the first thing I want to do is thanks my friends and specially my parents who also helped a lot. Obviously I have to special thank’s STB, Kris Holm Unicycles, Unicycle.com! Without those great partners would be hard to make all the trips and events I did past year! THANKS!

For 2010 there are four championships that are really important for the flat community. My main objective is attending all the four: EUC Winter Edition, EUC Summer Edition, NAUCC and LAUCC!

The first one is the EUC Winter Edition. It’s going to take place in Cologne between February 13 and 15. As I just came back from New Zealand and it’s a quite expensive trip, I can’t afford the airplane to Germany . Anyway, I have 23 days to work and find partners who are interested in helping, so yeah, hopefully I’m going to make it!

LAUCC isn’t confirmed yet, but will probably be in Ecuator late June!

NAUCC and EUC Summer Edition are going to be in USA and Czech Republic during the summer (July-August)!

Except from the championships and roadtrips I’ll keep all the demos, conventions and event here in Brazil and maybe other countries around South America!

There’s a lot of work this year, and hopefully everything will works out! I have an updated sponsorship planning and lots of energy to work with !

Hopefully my posts in the next 20 days will say something about the EUC Winter Edition!

As my flight back home departed from Auckland, I decided to stay there for a few days and knows the place !

The city kinda reminds me of Wellington but WAY bigger! There are LOTS of brazilians in the streets… It’s really impressive… I think that Auckland was the place where we felt more comfortable!

We also visited an awesome aquarium out there! Everything is on the pictures :

Taupo is a city in the middle of the New Zealand north island, surrounded by 3 big vulcans and a huge lake!

You can’t say that’s not beautiful!… In our first breakfast (we took a overnight bus to get there, coming from Wellington), we ate with a nice view of the lake and with the vulcan in the background! But nothing is perfect: The city is quite expensive!

In Taupo you can bungy jump, sky dive, kaiak… There are many extreme sports to do, but everything is expensive! Usually each “adventure” costs about 100 NZ Dollars per person! Considering that you can do 3 per day, it can be really hard for your pocket!

If you rent a car you can go to the national park, which is full of hikes! You can also run around the entire lake!

As I was there for one day only and also running low money, I chose to do a boat ride at the Huka Falls! The water fall is really beautiful, and also the rivers around… You really fell into a Lord of the Rings scene! The boat is really fast and can do 360 spins, which makes the ride really awesome!

There’s also a hot water river (42 Celsius Degrees!) that ends in the same river where the boat rides!

What’s up!?

After the 12 days in Wellington, I got over 2000 PICTURES! Just crazy… Was really boring to choose the best ones, and even after the selection I uploaded something like 500 pics!

Everything is on my flickr, but I embbed a slideshow with all the pictures here ! There are riding pics and also stuff from the museums I visited and  places I went to my friends!

Everything that’s good don’t last forever! UNICON is over…! But it was awesome: meeting everybody again, meeting new friends, the riding, filming, the pics, the competitions… It was crazy!

My final results are:

Flatland: 10 Place;

Trials (16-17 Cat.): 4 Place;

Honestly, I was expecting more from flatland, but my qualification run wasn’t that good and things happened in a different way . At least in Trials, that I did for fun, I got 4th place!

I still have one week traveling around NZ! Probably going to Taupo or Rotorua and after Auckland!
