Hey!
In february 7th we are going to host a uni meeting here in São Paulo!
The main idea was to host it at the Vila Lobos park, but due to the STRONG rain that we had last days and the lack of a covered area, we decided to host it at the Ibirapuera Park!
The meeting will start at 8am. The meeting spot will be in “the spider”, a big sculpture in the front of the Modern Arts Museum (MAM)! It’s really easy to find! It’s under a huge covered area, you can ask anyone over there for it!
To make everything easier, if you want to join us, send an email with Name, Age and Mobile contact to encontros@unicycle.com.br! If under 18 please also send your parents contact too! That will make everything better!
If you plan to come after 10am, ask in the email for my mobile number, cause we plan to do some trials/street rides around the park! Fell free also to ask my phone on the email if you have any other questions and suggestions! You can also comment on this post!
Hope to see you next weeks!
Cheers!
Heeey!
Sorry about the lack of updates! I had a problem in the translation system of the blog!
New Zealand is awesome! As always everybody was really friendly and receptive… Just the weather is a bit weird: REALLY windy and it changes from a strong sun to something really cold in minutes!
Almost all the competitiors are already here. Some of them had problems with flights and luggage but everything was solve! We’re already training a lot and the competitions will probably be real fun!
The organization is a simpler than the 2008 World Champs but still quite awesome! We already filmed and shot some nice pics! I hope to be able to post everything really soon! For now I posted some pics that I liked:
PS: Last 3 pics by Miles Ornish!

Tomorrow (18/12) I’ll give an interview for the “Planeta EXPN” show (ESPN Brasil Channel). It will be live but unfortunately broadcasted for Brazil only! Probably next week it will be online too!
On the interview I’ll talk about my last months experiences, including the first places in the Latin American Championship, and also about UNICON, the world championship that I’m going to attend next week in New Zealand!
The show starts at 14:00. It will be replayed at 2:00!
Cheers!
Helloo
Between Octuber 31 and November 1 we had in Santiago and Valparaíso, Chile, the first Latin American Unicycling Convention and Championship!
I was in the organization of the event, working hard since july to make it happen with the other guys in Chile and Argentina (the experience from European competitions reaaally helps a lot!)! The results: It was awesome!
Not only the competitions, that followed all IUF rules and specs, but meeting everybody was the best part! The biggest part of us knew each other over th web, but was hard to have ALL riders together. With the Kris Holm Sponsor in prizes and specially with the Cabeza de Martillo partnership, that sponsored us with the space and structure, everything worked out!
In the competitions I got some interesting results: First place in Trials, Street and Flatland! The complete results are on the official website: www.laucc.com
It was amazing
! The first of many south american competitions I think! The next one probably will take place in Argentina in the first semester of 2010! I can’t wait for it!
The official video is being made in Chile by one of the riders! For now, the pictures from my new camera (Thanks MOM and DAD! The new camera really helped a lot!):
Hello!
Well, this one was the coolest demo I did in the last months I think…
In the 19 September weekend we had a huge event here in São Paulo, were the organization places sports attraction around the city for 24 hours!
I already knew about this event, but some hours before the organization changed our location! At least we went to he best one: Vale do Anhangabaú. The friday-staurday night was crazy! The material was delayed and I had to stay with Robson Lima (Bike Trials rider) over the night building the course! Actually we only finished it on the morning after 2 hours that we slept in my house! In the end the course was pretty nice. Not big, not small, with stuff for bike, uni and moto… pretty balanced!
We did shows for 12 HOURS! I was unicycling (Trials, but also did some flat short lines:p), Robson Lima (Bike) and Valter Fernandes and Thiago Vermelho (both motorcycle). In the end of the night my shins were all burnt by the contact with the shinguards! CRAZY! But everything compensated: we had a great media exposure, pics for magazines and newspapers, TVs and even live link for national TVs!
I still didn’t received the official video (there was a film maker SPECIALLY FOR TRIALS!)! For now, some pictures that the guys shot with my camera:
